A new game to play...Five Questions

I found a new game to play, it's fun, and you get to find out a little more about your fellow bloggers. Fidgeting Gidget and K13 have been playing, and I wanted to join in the fun!

The rules of the game are: I went to their blogs, and read their five questions, and then after commenting on their blog, I mentioned that I would like to play to. They respond with 5 questions for you to answer in a blog post, and so on and so forth. Sounds like fun right?!

Here are the questions that Fidgeting Gidget sent me! Don't worry, I'll be posting K13's questions as soon as I get those done.

1. What is your favorite part about being a member of two different cultures?

I love being a part of 2 cultures. It's hard to choose a favorite thing though. I love being able to speak 2 languages, but I would also really like to learn to read and write Chinese as well. My favorite thing about being Chinese is the heritage, the stories, customs, the language, the food (if I could cook) that are passed from my parents to myself being the first generation in the States. It's one of those things that I would love to share with my future children, keeping the customs and tradition alive by passing it on to future generations. It's those things that I would never want to lose.

2. What is your dream job?

My dream job (geeky) would be a top research scientist/administrator/manager at an awesome biotech company specializing in genetics research. Being able to apply what I've learned in the creation of some cool new product or application that can benefit the medical/health world would definitely make me happy. The adminstrator/manager part would keep me sane from being too isolated in the lab...the ability to direct more of the research rather than be directed to be a lab technician running the same redundant assays everyday.

3. If you could be one movie character, who would you be and why?

I'm in a geeky mood, so I'm going to choose Jean Grey in X-men! I think more so because of her powers than anything else (the fact that she dates Cyclops also helps)!

4. If you had to choose between being deaf or blind, which would you choose and why?

Hmm, hard decision, but I think I would choose deaf. Not being able to see the world and it's colors, family and friends would be difficult. Plus I believe it would be easier to medically "fix" or at least minimize the ramifications of being deaf than being blind.

5. What is one food that you absolutely detest?

For some reason, I totally dislike the taste of celery. I avoid it in veggie plates like the plague. And if there's just a touch of it in some type of food, I also avoid that food too. It has a very distinctive taste that I recognize anywhere.

If anyone wants to have me send some questions and play, please let me know!

Jean Gray in Xmen was pretty bad a**. Especially when she became Phoenix. Seriously, I just had a geek out moment.

I'm game! Send me some questions to answer... :)

I agree with your sentiment about celery. It's such a useless food.

Hey I LOVE genetics, too! I flunked my other science topics but totally rocked the genes while my class struggled. LOL.

Oh so you can speak chinese? That's cool. My mom's side is pure chinese, and I can't understand a thing. I tried to learn but the language just comes off to me as a bit of a tongue twister.

I agree about celery, but sometimes I make "Ants on a Log" sticks to make them taste better because celery is a negative calorie food. Spread a little peanut butter, then top with a few raisins. It's delicious, if you can get past the stringy-ness of the celery.

This sounds like a fun game. I would like to play!

@Jess, girl in stiletto
Jean Grey rocks! Seriously those powers are just too awesome and just think of the things you could do...

@Sami, vazenchick, Gina, girl in stiletto, and maitai
If I haven't already yet, be expecting those questions soon! I'm trying to think of different ones for everyone. ;)

@Nashe
I love genetics and DNA, it was my favorite subject in high school.

@ChinkyGirlMel
Yep, I do, I'd love to learn how to read it and write it though. Also I'd love to learn Mandarin, since I can only speak Cantonese.

@K13
Yeah, I love crunch, but I don't like the taste.

@Mr. Condescending
Maybe that's something I'll have to attempt in the future, no promises on liking it though. :) Thanks for commenting!
