I know it's late...

But I still wanted to do some quick reviews of the season finales that I've seen (so I can read them again before I watch the premieres in the fall).

Additional thoughts and comments on these shows are welcome! I'm up for some discussion if you are! Ratings are in ( ).

Dollhouse (8/10) I was compelled to watch this series even if I didn't start until 5 or 6 episodes in. I was a big Buffy fan back in my younger years, so I already knew that Whedon can make things interesting. Since they didn't know if this series was going to last, this "finale" wrapped up a ton of items that were unanswered throughout the entire series, like why Alpha wanted Echo, how Sanders came about, etc. It also led to more questions like what role Whiskey plays in Topher's past, and a new twist in that the FBI agent is now "joining" Dollhouse in exchange for Mellie's release. I'm looking forward to Season 2!

House (7/10) House going to therapy! How long that will last?! I still find the whole Huddy thing weird. House is House, a snarky antisocial doctor who rankles everyone. I think being in a relationship will change him too much. And the whole Huddy thing, a figment of House's overactive drugged up fantasy? Cameron and Chase finally getting hitched! Lots of different twists that may have caused me whiplash. I think this last season was a bit lacking in the cases that were presented, maybe I was just missing the House/Wilson snarky dynamics. Maybe it's because I was disturbed by Amber, who knows?! Hoping the next season will be better!

Bones (5/10) I think they should have made this a more normal episode instead of using this "make believe/fantasy" as the finale. Yes, it was definitely funny at parts, seeing their different roles in a story instead of real life. The only thing that really made up for things was the end! Booth losing his memory?! Now the question is that for real or a joke he was playing on Brennan?

Smallville (7/10) Another finale that was somewhat disappointing but still okay. I cannot believe they killed off Jimmy (or in this case Henry James). I am also somewhat disappointed in what they've done to Chloe, an "original" character in Smallville...they've basically mauled her during the last half of the season. Yes I know she's doing it all for Clark, but to side with Doomsday's alter ego is just plain bad. And the ending, where Clark says "Clark's dead", oh my, how ominous?! His humanity gone or at least pushed down since someone close to him has died. I can't wait to see how they bring this out in Season 9. And Tom Welling was just plain hot in that last scene!

Mentalist (9/10)
Simon Baker really rocks! And this last episode was just crazy! Finding Red John's blind gf believe so adamantly that her bf was not a killer with the proof staring Patrick in the face across the room was so poignant. He didn't try to take away her beliefs in Red John either. You always see Patrick as someone who's pretty playful, but this one was really showcasing the amount of hate he had for Red John, how much he really wanted revenge. And then the end when he shot the guy! What a way to end the ep! And knowing that this Red John storyline is going to continue over to the next season, I wonder how long they can pull that off before the audience pulls for an ending!

@Novelista Barista
Welcome back dear! Hulu is great for getting the last couple in order.

@Andhari
Lol, I take it you don't watch much tv! No worries, these shows are pretty much the only ones I've watched consistently (kind of). Hulu is a great way of catching up!
