Temporary obsession

I think I'm temporarily obsessed with blogging, like all things I do. Initially I go crazy over a new hobby like crochet, scrapbooking, aikido, etc. The interest tends to dwindle over time which is bad thing since I have all these unfinished projects, other than the aikido. So this morning I felt like blogging again even if no one is reading this, I just felt like it. We'll see how long this lasts...

Anyways, this past Friday I went and saw Monsters vs. Aliens after having the most awful week at work. Watched it in 3D. I thought they were going to hand out those paper glasses that I used to associate with 3D when I was little. Nope technology went up, they look like funky sunglasses.

Final thoughts on the actual movie: CUTE! Yes, it's not so plot heavy, but really should it be, it was a feel good movie with funny characters, with the heroine winning in the end. Susan was the epitome of a "girl" wanting to be married, etc who in the end realized that she was strong, didn't need her ex-fiance to be cool, etc. I loved Dr. Cockroach PhD. Hugh Laurie rocks seriously, his "Meow" just totally cracked me up, partially because of the caustic character he plays in House. B.O.B was idiotically cute, you just wanted to "awww" every single time something completely went over his head.

While Kungfu Panda rocks and passes this movie in terms of wit, it's still a good movie to see to cheer you up with it's cuteness and happy ending!
