Living life...

It is not the length of life, but depth of life. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
It was a sad day today in the class that I'm taking. Our class found out that one of our classmates had passed away over the weekend. She had sickle cell anemia. Shocking and sad because we saw her last week in class. We never talked, as I'm sure is the case for most of the class since we all come from different labs or departments.

It's shocking to see a young life cut short that was so full of promise since most if not all of the students in the class were in the process of obtaining their doctorate and I'm sure primed to contribute to society, specifically in a health field.

It makes you appreciate life even more, what we all have as individuals, families, friends... Life is precious and we take it for granted sometimes getting into petty squabbles or worrying about little things, while there's still so much to learn from life and so much life to live.

While it's cheesy, it makes you realize to "always live life to the fullest"!
