Wish list with a side of torture...

It's Monday again!
Because I never really put on makeup, I am in need of advice of what "color" I should wear with a black dress. I'll most likely wear gold dangly black pearl earrings (which hopefully works with either dress) and black shoes. There's a little poll to your right, if you could vote, that would help me out a bunch. I'll probably just do some lip gloss, nothing extreme. Oh, and I'm asian (faint yellowish undertones). Thanks!

I wish I may, I wish I might...

Fidgeting Gidget had a great post a few days ago! I thought I'd also include my wish list since it's a great idea! I'm just going to include the top 5 things that I want though (because I'm sure there's more than that). Fair warning...it's a wish list, so some things aren't practical, at least on a student's non-existent income. ;)

1) Elliptical machine - I would never have an excuse to not working out. I'd be all set with my "easy" cardio in the elliptical and then the hardcore workouts provided my DVDs. No EXCUSE, whatsoever...theoretically, anyways.

2) Purple ruffle trimmed halter dress - It was a really cute dress, but too expensive for my budget. I'd have been a little more willing to shell out the cash if it had been on sale instead of full price. My motto "Never pay full price for anything when you can get it on sale!"

3) Guess Bethany hobo - It's a cute bag, slouchy but fun! I think I want it in "Milk" or in layman's terms, white! It's big and I love bigger bags since I tend to be a packrat! I think my mom created a monster when she had me go bag shopping!

4) A pair of Cole Haan pumps - Something suitable for interviews and conferences that I don't feel the need to take off every 15-20 minutes. My other pumps at the moment are so painful and I've tried the whole insert thing. I'd love to go without heels but none of my pants would fit otherwise, and they've already been hemmed. More professional to go with a little heel right? Nike Air technology included!
5) A nice week long vacation somewhere relaxing with access to fun things! Somewhere warm (but not too warm), sunny, blue skies, and things to do in the city! I have no particular place in mind since I'm more into the particulars the place has to have. Oh! And we can't forget good food (and desserts). I'm thinking places like NYC, SF, etc.

Update on the 30 day Shred!
I'm halfway through Level 2 of the Shred. Not so sore anymore, could be that I'm slacking some during the planks, but my arms aren't burning (as much) anymore. I still do the wimpy versions of the planks. I still sweat a ton during this Level, much more than Level 1. So far so good, and I haven't skipped a day yet. I even made myself do it at 10 in the evening just so I could keep up with the straight 30 day thing.

I'm so jealous that you are doing the 30 day shred. I SO need to do that but really don't see it fitting into my life or lifestyle right now. Especially since a certain someone HOGS the TV every freakin' night.

That's great about the Shred! I'm housesitting this week and trying to find somewhere to do it where I won't recklessly rattle all the breakables.

Also, I would love an elliptical in my house! I'm sure they're absurdly expensive, though.

I was looking into the Shred too. I'm glad that you are having success with it :) I love elliptical machines, but unfortunately have absolutely no space (or money) for one.

Shreds sound scary - I just got me some Easy Tone shoes from Reebok - hoping those will do the trick - of course then I will have to walk somewhere. Blah.

Krystyn:*Hugs*, maybe you could pop it into the computer? (I use my laptop since my dvd player is broken).

Mara: Lol, understandable especially those jump rope things. Yeah, super expensive but I won't be getting that until I start a real job...and even then it won't be immediate.

for the love of pictures: Lol, don't know how much success I'm having with it. I'm not noticing huge differences...except maybe in the arms.

Kym: ;) Yep, I rarely put on makeup, my first time putting on the whole shebang was a wedding I was in.

Amy: You should try it! You definitely feel like you're doing work!

Constructive attitude: Thanks! Sorry, I did put up photos of both dresses in a previous post. http://moonjavasmuse.blogspot.com/2009/05/to-sum-it-up.html

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i want all those things too! my budget is even tighter than yours. i'm officially broke & jobless. ngah ha ha. by the way, regarding your eye shadow, i take that your eye color is brown in color? so depending on your eye shape & eye color, my best bet is plum. you can try brown too. my friend looks really nice in brown, but i look like as if i got punched on the face if i wear brown. pink is ok too, but since you want to use gold dangling earrings, pink might be too much. and it doesn't really go with LBD :) hope that helps!

I could really use number five myself. I really am in need of a serious vacation!

girl in stiletto: Thanks girlie! Yep, brown it is. Lol, I tried that right before the wedding I was in (putting on blue makeup). And it looked like I was perpetually surprised with a "blue" eye instead of black ones. Too much! I'll give the plum a whirl to see how it looks ;)

Oh I would love to have my an elliptical machine at home. That would make it easier to work out on the weekends and make the gym trips shorter.
