If you could be anyone in the world for a week, who would you be and why?

Another hard question, I'm not sure. If I had to choose, I guess I'd choose someone like Sandra Bullock or Jennifer Garner...the life of an actress. While I have no inclination to be an actress, nor have I ever wanted to be one, I think I'd like to see how crazy a life like that could be, especially for an introvert like myself. I can see how crazy their life is, and be satisfied that my life can just be as crazy without the inclusion of paparazzi and with the pressure of all eyes being on you when you go about your daily life :P Living it up for a week as an actress would definitely be an experience!

why did you pick the name moonjava?

Before I started this blog, I knew that I wanted to be anonymous, easier to be truthful and I really didn't want anyone in my real life to be reading it. It was a way for me to say whatever I wanted with little to no repercussions. So I went to the blogthings website, and looked for those name generators. I put in my real name into a few of them to see what names they'd come up with... VOILA!

The name Moonjava came up on one of them! It was either that or Lumilumi, Sirona de Sade, Paris, Minty McMini, or Lani Mily, and so on and so forth. Seriously....;)

How and why did you choose your area of study/career field? :)

I was pretty sure that I wanted to study the sciences back in high school and I was pretty set on chemical engineering back then. After that I had always planned to enter bioengineering for a masters. I love biology but I didn't want to "strictly" study basic sciences, hence the engineering part.

I love applying the knowledge to create/develop new technologies. I'm a geek, and I know it! Part of the reason was also personal, my grandmother had a weak heart, and had to have a pacemaker.

It always seemed so interesting to me, being in the medical field without having to BE a doctor, I don't know if I could be in a hospital situation all the time and disassociate myself enough from patients (or kids) since if I did enter the medical field, I'd prefer working with children. I've volunteered at a children's hospital, and it's the MOST heartwrenching thing to see the babies and kids that have to get treatments or surgeries.

Fun question!

If we're going with what my personality would prefer, probably someone independent (think Michelle Yeoh Bond-girl), not overtly sexy but not exactly shy either. Someone who can kick arse with the best of them, isn't a victim, and doesn't fall all over herself when talking with 007 or overly seductive (so not me).

I'd be on the good side, of course. 007 is also the pursuer ;) because I'd rather be the pursuee than the pursuer...Come on, who doesn't want to be wooed!

What is your favorite thing to do in Metro Detroit? It can be favorite restaurant, sporting event....anything!

I'd have to say getting together with friends to catch a Wings game in a sports restaurant or bar. It's so much fun to watch and scream at the refs with other peeps, especially friends!

What kind of job/field can you go into with that kind of degree?

Actually, with this degree, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical, consulting, etc, are all fields that I could theoretically enter. For me, my current interests right now are biotech (think gene therapy) or 180 deg turn...patent law.
